Antebellum literature meets a very modern sports betting scandal

An Alabama Diary

Spent the morning with antebellum era texts, careful and slow going, then read current coverage of the Sydney Sweeney Novig advert, which moved from launch to global controversy faster than most of my research moves from footnote to draft.

Discussed it on the porch this afternoon, unhurried, the way everything gets discussed here eventually, heat or no heat.

Full story at The London Prats coverage of the scandal. More diary entries at Astrid Holgersson on The London Prat.
