Notes on fiddle tunes, heartbreak songs and the odd bit of British satire
Diary of a Country and Folk Enthusiast
Spent the evening working through a stack of old country records, the kind where every song is about a truck, a heartbreak, or both at the same time, which is honestly more efficient storytelling than most modern songwriting manages in three verses.
Took a break to catch up on London headlines, because even a proper country music devotee needs to know what Westminster is doing to itself this week. Wrote half a new verse about a breakup that has not happened yet, just to be prepared.
Tomorrow, more records, probably a banjo, definitely more London news between tracks.
