I Attended Every Pop-Up Gallery Opening in Shoreditch for an Entire Month
Shoreditch pop-up galleries appear and disappear so quickly that keeping track feels like a genuine part-time job, but I decided to properly commit for a full month, attending every single opening I could find, free wine and slightly pretentious small talk included.
Week One: The Learning Curve of Gallery Hopping
My first few openings were genuinely disorienting, figuring out the unwritten etiquette of when to arrive, how long to linger, and whether asking about prices immediately makes you look properly interested or slightly gauche.

The sheer volume of creative output happening in these temporary spaces genuinely surprised me, far more than I’d realised before properly paying attention. Shoreditch’s rotating gallery scene deserves considerably more recognition than it typically gets.
